AFASA AFRICA is the business enterprise of AFASA, Association des Femmes pour l’Alphabétisation, la Santé et les Activitées Génératrices de Revenus -- Association of Women
for Literacy, Health and Income Generation in Togo, Africa.
AFASA, is a Christian women's organization in Togo, Africa whose primary purpose is to teach women in their country how to read, understand and develop good health care for themselves and their children and learn to create products in order to generate income for their familes.
AFASA AFRICA is run entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to supporting the Togolese women through the promotion and sales of products and development of new products.
There are two types of products. Those made by the Togolese women and products made by women in the U.S. incorporating African fabric. From initially starting
with hand-cut quilt squares, the enterprising women of Togo have expanded their sewing trade and skills to include their own batik designs. Each item is unique and one-of-a-kind, guaranteed to please those looking for authenticity. From multicolored throws to handmade dolls, these items are handcrafted with care and pride.
