AFASA is a Christian women’s development organization  comprised of 1000 women from twenty-five village women’s groups in Togo, West Africa.  AFASA champions the issues of literacy, health and income for these women who are often the sole providers for their families.

This video demonstrates the method used to make the batik material you can buy on this site. The resilience and courage of the women of AFASA are evident through their commitment to teach others how to read, employ good health practices and learn to generate income through hard work.
